william harden

i was first introduced to the work of william harden aka grohl when there was an article in yen magazine years ago about surry hills' very own china heights gallery and the studio space there.  grohl was working in one of the studio spaces.  his work is so full of life and colour and is ever growing and developing.  check it out here.  i can see elements of brett whitely in his newer stuff, while there has always been elements of wassily kandinsky.  the relatively newer pieces from his internal workout series expresses the subject in a more realistic and decipherable light than earlier work and is so beautiful. the works have a real grungy and raw feel to them which is what ultimately makes them so appealing.
